Apple Cider Vinegar and Honey
Apple Cider Vinegar (ACV) is both oxygenating and alkalinizing to the gastrointestinal system. It helps stimulate digestive enzyme production in the stomach and intestine as well alkalinize the rest of the body.ACV is taken during the Cleanse for relieving any mucous or catarrhal conditions. It helps alkalinize the system, provides needed nutrients for muscle tissue, and helps prevent electrolyte depletion. I do not recommend distilled white vinegar, which is not a natural
Honey is low in vitamins and minerals but high in plant compounds, in particular flavonoids which show strong antioxidant properties. The antioxidants in honey have been linked to beneficial effects on heart health, including increased blood flow to your heart and a lower risk of blood clot formation.
There are lots of brands on the market, but we are sure to obtain a honey that is raw and unheated—that is, that has not been heated to high temperatures or processed in any way that would alter it. (The honey that is unheated and raw will proudly display this information on the label.)
Together with apple cider vinegar, honey is used in the Cleansing Drink that is ingested daily during our Cleansing Programs. (To make it, we mix one tablespoon of apple cider and one teaspoon of honey in a glass of water.)
Many have used the combination of ACV and honey to lose weight, alleviate arthritis, dissolve bone spurs, and rid themselves of kidney and gall stones.
The word psyllium comes from the Greek word psylla meaning flea, because the tiny seed resembles a flea.
Psyllium husks are pure dietary fiber, composed mostly of cellulose. They are not digested in the small intestine, but are partially broken down in the colon. They act as a broom in the intestinal tract, scraping and cleansing out toxins and deposits. When mixed with water or another liquid, they form a mucilaginous bulk that holds moisture very well. Psyllium attaches itself to the mucous lining of the colon, making it soft and loose so that it will move away from the bowel wall. Being a moisture-laden bulk, it helps the bowel achieve better peristaltic action.
A good intestinal cleanser, such as psyllium husks, is very important to the success of any tissue-cleansing program. We find that the best are vegetable psyllium-seed products that come from India or the Middle East. Many psyllium products, especially those produced by
pharmaceutical companies, do not include the husks and may also contain a significant
amount of sugar or artificial flavor. Be sure to read the label of any product you consider buying. (At Atmanjai, of course, we use (and sell) the proper kind of psyllium and not the pharmaceutical kind.)
Clay water is a colloidal suspension of clay in water with the clay particles so fine that they cannot be separated out. It is not an absorbent, but rather a magnet attracting to itself many undesirable chemicals. Some of clay particles can absorb (incorporate into their
surface) forty times their own weight in toxic substances. One brand of play whatever they have found to work well is bentonite clay better special kind of play first discovered near Fort Benton Wyoming in the USA. It is the bentonite clay that we use at Atmanjai.
To good health!
